Materials commonly used in CNC precision machining include:

Metals:

Aluminum: lightweight, good thermal conductivity, easy to machine and malleable

Stainless steel: corrosion resistant, high strength, suitable for a variety of applications

Steel: high strength, wear resistant, suitable for structural and mechanical parts

Copper: good electrical and thermal conductivity, suitable for electronic and conductive parts

Titanium: high strength, corrosion resistant, suitable for aerospace and medical applications

Brass: excellent machinability, corrosion resistance, beautiful appearance

Alloy steel: high strength, wear-resistant, pressure-resistant, suitable for the manufacture of chemical equipment, mechanical equipment, etc.

Plastic materials:

ABS: high strength, good toughness, suitable for the manufacture of toys, pipe fittings, etc.

CNC precision machining

Acrylic (acrylic): transparent, excellent optical clarity, ultraviolet resistance

Polycarbonate (PC): impact resistance, transparency, suitable for the manufacture of cell phone shells, eyeglass lenses, etc.

Nylon: strong, lightweight, excellent abrasion resistance, chemical resistance

Polyoxymethylene resin (POM): fatigue resistance, high hardness, suitable for manufacturing bearings, gears, etc.

Polyethylene (PE): good flexibility, suitable for manufacturing pump parts, seals, etc.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC): chemical resistance, good electrical insulation.

Composite materials:

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP): lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance.

Glass fiber: to enhance the strength and rigidity of the plastic

Kevlar-reinforced polymers: high strength, cut and puncture resistance

Metal Matrix Composites (MMC): combining the advantages of metal and ceramic materials with excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance

The choice of these materials depends on the specific application needs, the mechanical properties required and the particular conditions during processing. Different materials have different properties and machining requirements, therefore, during CNC machining, it is necessary to select the appropriate tools, machining parameters and surface treatments according to the characteristics of the specific material.
